Storage Redbridge Modern Slavery Statement
This Modern Slavery Statement sets out the steps Storage Redbridge has taken and will continue to take to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains. Storage Redbridge recognises its responsibility to conduct business ethically, transparently, and with respect for human rights.
Our Zero-Tolerance Approach
Storage Redbridge has a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of modern slavery, including forced labour, bonded labour, human trafficking, child labour, and any form of servitude. We are committed to ensuring that no part of our business or supply chain is involved in practices that exploit individuals or deprive them of their freedom or dignity. This commitment applies to all employees, agency workers, contractors, and suppliers engaged by Storage Redbridge.
All commercial decisions are guided by our ethical standards, and we expect those who work with us to uphold equivalent principles. We will not knowingly engage with any party that is involved in, or fails to take adequate steps to prevent, modern slavery or human trafficking.
Our Supply Chain and Supplier Standards
Storage Redbridge works with a range of suppliers for goods, services, and specialist support. We recognise that risks of modern slavery can exist at different tiers of the supply chain. To address these risks, we communicate our expectations clearly to current and prospective suppliers and require them to comply with applicable labour, employment, and human rights legislation.
Suppliers are expected to maintain fair working conditions, pay at least the applicable minimum wage, provide safe working environments, prohibit the use of forced or child labour, and ensure that workers are free to leave their employment after reasonable notice. Where appropriate, we seek contractual commitments confirming adherence to these requirements.
Supplier Audits and Due Diligence
Storage Redbridge conducts due diligence on key suppliers based on the nature of the goods and services provided and the geographic location of their operations. This may include pre-engagement assessments, risk-based questionnaires, and review of relevant policies and documentation.
We reserve the right to carry out audits or request evidence of compliance where we identify higher risks. If any concerns are identified, we will work with the supplier to agree corrective actions and timescales. Where improvement is not demonstrated, Storage Redbridge may suspend or terminate the business relationship.
Employee Awareness and Reporting Channels
All employees are made aware of Storage Redbridge’s zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery and their role in identifying and reporting concerns. We encourage a culture of openness in which people feel able to raise issues without fear of retaliation.
Concerns about potential modern slavery or human trafficking involving Storage Redbridge or its supply chain can be reported to line managers or senior management. Reports will be treated seriously, investigated promptly, and handled sensitively wherever possible. We will take appropriate action in response to any substantiated concerns, which may include notifying relevant authorities and ending relationships with offending parties.
Continuous Improvement and Training
Storage Redbridge is committed to strengthening its approach to combating modern slavery over time. Where relevant, we will provide targeted guidance or training to employees involved in procurement, supplier management, or recruitment so they can recognise risk indicators and respond appropriately.
We continue to review best practice guidance, legal requirements, and industry developments to refine our policies and processes. Feedback from employees, suppliers, and other stakeholders is encouraged and used to identify areas for improvement.
Monitoring, Governance, and Annual Review
Responsibility for overseeing our modern slavery measures rests with the senior leadership of Storage Redbridge. They are accountable for ensuring that policies remain effective, are properly implemented, and are communicated across the business.
This Modern Slavery Statement is reviewed annually to reflect changes in legislation, organisational structure, and our understanding of modern slavery risks. We will update our actions as necessary and, where appropriate, set objectives to enhance our due diligence, supplier oversight, and internal awareness.
By maintaining a clear zero-tolerance position, robust supplier checks, accessible reporting channels, and a commitment to regular review, Storage Redbridge aims to play its part in preventing modern slavery and protecting the rights and freedoms of all those connected to our operations and supply chains.
